Amul’s tribute to special Virat Kohli performance

Fans, pundits and followers cannot stop raving about the innings they witnessed from the bat of Virat Kohli was more than just a match-winning knock. It was a magical innings, something you would never have seen coming. MS Dhoni hit the winning runs, but that was merely a finishing touch to the late Virat Kohli show.
The knock has also seen the 27-year old overhaul his skipper in brand endorsements. Apart from the multiple brands, Kohli is associated with, Amul, one of India’s oldest dairy products supplier has sent out a rather touching tribute to laud the Indian batsman’s heroics. Although it is one of the millions of tributes rushing in, the touch and the sentiment it carried was simply unbelievable.
While MRF had the rolling cover drive featuring Virat Kohli, Amul has used the 27-year old to promote their topical ads all over the web. Titled ‘Super Virat’s single-handed success’, the ad shows Kohli sitting surrounded by his team-mates. The caption, ‘Kohli Ke Peeche Kaun Hai?.’ is just so clever and adorable.
Just a day or two earlier, it was reported that Kohli overtook his skipper in brand endorsements. MS Dhoni has been the pinnacle of the brands for a long time, especially following his exploits in One Day cricket in 2005/06. However, at the moment, it seems as though Virat Kohli has become the apple of the eye for most brand managers who are looking to sign him to get their products off the shelves.
India takes on the West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in the second semifinal of the World T20 2016. Irrespective of what is running through the heads of the brand managers, the fans will be hoping that he comes good once again.
