Anand Mahindra compliments MS Dhoni by posting a throwback video
MS Dhoni made himself unavailable for the forthcoming Tour to Windies to take part in the Paramilitary Regiment.
India has been home to some of the greatest cricketing superstars and the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni is right on top of that list. Over the years his aura has grown exponentially. He has been a true servant of the country on the field and off the field. Recently he was again carrying the hopes of millions of people when he was playing in the semi-final of 2019 World Cup.
Unfortunately, he failed to cross the line while attempting a second run and it brought an abrupt end to India’s World Cup campaign. After the game, the cricketing world was divided over his retirement plans with some of the fans supporting the legend. Such was the hype surrounding Captain Cool’s career that it became a national debate for a week.
In the end, Dhoni provided a twist by opting out of future Indian tours for two months. He informed BCCI about his decision to serve the Paramilitary Regiment of the Territorial Army. Now the business magnet, Anand Mahindra has come out in support of Dhoni and also shared a past video of the star’s Army routine.
Winning hearts off the field
Dhoni has always been vocal about his love for the Indian Army and way back in 2011 government honoured him by giving the post of Lieutenant Colonel. Since then he had spent a lot of time with the Armed forces and has undergone brief training in the off-season of cricket. Now for all his contributions to the country, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra has praised the national hero with a sincere message. Along with it, he has also posted a video that is gaining a lot of popularity.
According to him, it was a video that was posted in his Whatsapp wonder box. In the video, Dhoni is shown entering the Army base camp and there he salutes his other colleagues and senior officers. It can be seen that the transport allotted to him is Mahindra XUV. He also appreciated Dhoni for his vehicle choice which is a by-product of Mahindra Group.
