Chennai Super Kings had locked horns with Punjab Kings for their last league game. The batting heroics of PBKS’ skipper KL Rahul enabled the team to register a thumping victory against the MS Dhoni-led side. CSK’s bowler Deepak Chahar did not have a good outing in the match as he conceded 48 runs in his spell of four overs.
However, he made sure that he makes his day memorable off the field. Post the match, Chahar fetched in all the limelight as he proposed to his girlfriend. The bowler went to the stands and knelt down to propose to his girlfriend. Her expressions exuded that she didn’t see it coming. A lot of people were there who were spotted clapping as both of them exchanged the rings.

Soon after this happened, the video and images of the couple went all viral across social media platforms. Both of them received good wishes from all around and the bowler’s sister also joined the list. Malti Chahar seemed to be all happy after her brother proposed to his girlfriend.
Deepak had posted the picture of the special moment on his official Instagram account. He also wrote a fitting caption to the post. “Picture says it all. Need all your blessings. #taken,” he captioned the post. His sister then shared the post on her story and wrote, “That moment. And my brother is taken.”
Later, the bowler also posted a video of the same. His sister left the comment “And she is shivering,” on the post. The Chennai Super Kings franchise also took it to their official Instagram account to congratulate the bowler. They posted the video and captioned it as “ She said Yes..! Congratulations Cherry.! Stay Merry.! #whistlepodu#yellove.”
About the match, CSK’s batting line-up struggled as the team managed just 134 runs at the end of the 20 overs. The KL Rahul-led side exuded their dominance to chase down the target in 13 overs. The captain top-scored for the team to sail the team to victory. He played belligerent innings of unbeaten 98 which included as many as seven fours and eight sixes.
