Fondly regarded as the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar has been on the receiving end of constant hate and criticism from many parts of India after he slammed International Popstar, Rihanna, for tweeting in support of the ongoing farmers’ protest in India. The cricketer showed his faith in the Indian government and reckoned that the country is capable of solving their internal matters and does not need assistance from any external force.
The cricketer was of the view that the people outside the country are trying to divide us for their personal benefits and urged Indian citizens to stay together during these tough times and show their support to the Indian government. On Wednesday night, January 3, Sachin expressed his views on the ongoing farmers’ protest via his official Twitter handle.
“India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let’s remain united as a nation,” Tendulkar said in a tweet.
