Anil Kumble receives a special birthday tweet from Virender Sehwag

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Monday wished Indian cricket team coach Anil Kumble on his 46th birthday. Continuing the trend of wishing cricketers on their big day, the Delhi batsman once again showcased his creativity by coming up with another brilliant tweet. India’s greatest leg spinner will be celebrating his 46-year-old today.

Fans were left disappointed as Sehwag went missing from the commentary team during the first ODI match between India and New Zealand played at Dharamsala. He later clarified that he will be back from 3rd ODI onwards. But, he continues to bombard the twitter timeline of his followers with amusing tweets.

In a tweet, Sehwag said, “In life don’t be a Dumbo, Be like JUMBO. Kumble doesn’t do any Jumble. K-U-M-B-L-E is very HUMBLE. Happy Birthday @anilkumble1074 ji.”

Kumble, the head coach of the Indian team, would be amused with the tweet. Kumble had even appreciated Sehwag’s skills on Twitter at a press conference.

The tall Karnataka bowler was a known for being a brainy cricketer. After making his test debut in 1990 at Old Trafford, Kumble went to become India’s most successful bowler in tests and ODIs. He also captained India in 14 Tests and one ODIs. Jumbo ended his 18-year career 2008 and finished with 619 Test and 337 ODI wickets.

The greatest moment in Test cricket for Kumble obviously will remain his ‘Perfect 10’ performance which came against Arch-rival Pakistan. Kumble shook the imagination of the cricketing world with an impeccable spell of 10/74 – against Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla. He is only the second player in the history of the game after Jim Laker to have achieved such a feat.
