All India Bakchod’s (AIB) comedian Tanmay Bhat entered a big mess after his controversial Snapchat roast on Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar went viral on the Internet.
Bollywood celebs including famous comic actors and directors like Anupam Khair, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Subhash Ghai as well as political parties expressed their anger over the video.
Political outfit MNS even lodged a police complaint while BJP legislator Ashish Shelar met the police commissioner regarding the matter, sources said a non-cognizable offence under Section 500 of the IPC might be registered against Bhat.
Stand-up comedian Tanmay Bhat of the All India Bakchod (AIB) recently posted on his snapchat account a face swapped video mocking legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and singer Lata Mangeshkar.
The video saw the comedian imitate the two legendary people and argue on a baseless issue. It saw Tanmay acting as Sachin Tendulkar and calling Lata Mangeshkar as a 5000-year-old lady who should die.
It further saw Sachin say that even John Snow died and so should she. “Your face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days.” Bhat, in the reply, imitated as Lata Mangeshkar said Sachin had no signature move other than adjusting his abdomen guard.
Bhat, however, tried to keep the angry comments away by giving a consolatory caption, “Sachin vs Lata Civil War (I make such nonsense on my Snapchat – follow me there – ID: Thetanmay) (Also I obviously love Lata and Sachin, just having some fun).”
