India and Pakistan’s rivalry goes back a long way. Whether it was Javed Miandad’s last ball six off Chetan Sharma to win the finals of Austral-Asia Cup in 1986 or Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic six off Shoaib Akhtar in the 2003 World Cup, fans from both countries relish these timeless moments which add to the rivalry between both teams.
India are yet again set to go up against Pakistan on Sunday in their opening Champions Trophy game at Edgbaston. The tension between both sides can already be felt as they face huge pressure from millions of people back home who want their respective team to win at any cost. This is a time when fans have heated arguments as well as friendly discussions on social media. In the midst of all this, a humour page on Facebook – Be Younick – has uploaded a new ‘Mauka-Mauka’ video on their Facebook page powered by Beardo for Men.
The video shows an Indian captain and his Pakistan counterpart at the toss. The Indian skipper won the toss and says that he wants to bowl first and followed by a standard interview about his squad’s composition and the likes. When he is done, the Pakistan captain is summoned for a brief chat. The skipper of Pakistan surprised both the interviewer and the Indian captain with his fluent interview. He said that don’t expect him to start the interview with the standard clichés used by the Pakistani captains of the yesteryears.
The Indian captain then notices an earpiece through which the Pakistan captain was being advised on what to say by a translator. Post that, the Pakistani struggles to finish the interview. This follows the standard mauka-mauka song on which both guys dance.
