Jasprit Bumrah was trending on social media a couple of days ago even without playing. The game between India and New Zealand was washed out due to persistent rain. However, the rumours of the fast bowler dating the popular actress Anupama Parameswaran spread like wildfire. The fact that Bumrah follows only Anupama among the South Indian actresses on Twitter led to the speculations.
Anupama Parameswaran came into the limelight with her debut movie Premam. Ever since then, she has been regarded as one of the top actresses in the South Indian film industry. She continued doing decent movies later and even has promising projects in the hand right now. She will be next seen in the film Rakshasudu alongside Bellamkonda Srinivasa in the lead role. Rakshasudu is a Telugu remake of the super hit Tamil movie Ratsasan.
Anupama shrugs off the reports
As far as the speculations of her dating the popular cricketer Jasprit Bumrah is concerned, Anupama Parameswaran has refuted the reports. According to the reports in Filmi Beat, the actress has clearly stated that Bumrah is only her good friend and they are not dating at the moment. This should put a full stop on all the speculations going around on social media over the last few days.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah who is England with the Indian cricket team playing the World Cup is yet to comment on the matter. He will be looking to concentrate on India’s upcoming game against Pakistan as of now and stay away from all such things. However, it will be interesting to see what his response will be, in case the cricketer encounters such a question in the near future.
Currently, he has been the key player for India across all the formats. Bumrah has started the tournament on high bowling well against South Africa and Australia. He will be hoping to continue in the same vein and most importantly, stay away from the injuries.
