Anushka Sharma and Sakshi Dhoni are friends from school, old pictures go viral
Some pictures from their time together have gone viral on social media to back the fact.
MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are the two biggest names in Indian cricket, and many formidable bowling line-ups have been victims of their prowess. While both these batsmen have staggering individual records, they have also been involved in numerous match-winning partnerships. It’s also no secret that Dhoni and Kohli share a great camaraderie as they never shied away from praising each other. However, many of you might not know that their wives, Sakshi Dhoni & Anushka Sharma, also share a tale of friendship.
Well, this might look shocking, but Dhoni’s wife Sakshi and the Indian captain’s wife Anushka were school-time friends. Some pictures from their time together have gone viral on social media to back the fact. As Anushka’s father, Retd. Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma, was in the Indian army, he was frequently posted in different parts of the country. During the family’s stay in Assam, Anushka went to St. Mary’s School, where Sakshi also studied.
Sakshi and I went to the same school in Assam: Anushka Sharma
In an interview in 2013, the Bollywood actress had herself revealed that she and Sakshi were classmates. “Sakshi and I lived together in a very small town in Assam. When she told me where she lived, I said wow, I have lived here too! She said I went to this school, I said I went to this school too,” Anushka had said. Now, after many years, some pictures from the duo’s time in school have gone viral, leaving the fans surprised.
As we know, Anushka went on to join the film industry while Sakshi pursued her career in hotel management. Later, the school-time friends tied knots with two of the most prominent personalities in world cricket. While Dhoni and Sakshi married in 2010, Kohli and Anushka hitched up in 2017. The two couples have become parents, having been blessed with daughters, Ziva and Vamika, respectively.
Coming to Dhoni and Kohli, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain now only plays Indian Premier League (IPL), having retired from the game last year. On the other hand, Kohli is one of the finest, if not the finest, batsmen going around, and it would more he achieves by the end of his career. Both these talismanic cricketers were last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which got postponed midway after multiple COVID-19 cases were found inside the bio-bubble.
