Anushka Sharma greeted with chant of 'Kohli Kohli' in Jaipur
Anushka was present in the city for the promotion of her movie 'Sui Dhaaga'.
India recently lost the fourth Test against England at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton by 60 runs. Subsequently, they also lost the five-match series with one match remaining to be played at Kennington Oval in London. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, from a captain’s perspective, hasn’t had an auspicious series. But from the personal front, he has been phenomenal, to say the least.
He is currently the leading run-scorers of the series with 544 runs under his belt at a stupendous average of 68. Moreover, he has notched a couple of centuries at Edgbaston and Trent Bridge along with three half-centuries. His Indian team may have lost the series, but it hasn’t affected Kohli’s fandom by any stretch of the imagination and the was same was recently manifested in Jaipur.
Supporters of Virat erupt
Anushka Sharma, Virat’s better-half, was present in the city for the promotion of her movie ‘Sui Dhaaga’, which is expected to hit the silver screens on September 28, Friday. The trailer of the movie was released in the second week of August and became a massive hit. Subsequently, the Bollywood actor also became a butt of jokes on the social media platforms.
In Jaipur, she was present with co-star Varun Dhawan. There she was greeted with chants of ‘Kohli Kohli’ from the students of Vivekananda Global University. The gesture was unexpected, but Anushka was awestruck by the support his husband got from the supporters. Anushka didn’t disappoint them and made a heartfelt gesture to the love showered on Virat by his fans.
She replied to the chanting and said, “Jee haan haan.. Sabko unse prem hai, Mujhe bhi hai. Sabko unki yaad aa rahi hai, mujhe bhi aa rahi hai. (Yes, everyone loves him, I also love him. Everyone is missing him, I am missing him too.)”
