Team India made the Sunday perfect when they came up with a class performance to register the T20I series on their name. The Men in Blue stole the limelight in Sydney as they walked away after bagging the match by six wickets. After batting first, the host side posted a massive total of 194 on the board. Though Kangaroos were devoid of some of their main names, Matthew Wade’s captaincy looked no weak in any section.
Their big score came on the back of stand-in-skipper Wade’s stunning half-century (58) and contributions from Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, and Moises Henriques. In return, KL Rahul (30) and Shikhar Dhawan (52) set the tone very well, but India was still short of the required run rate. In between, skipper Virat Kohli steadied the chase with his 40 of 24 and gave fans a great hope of winning the match. However, when he was sent back to the pavilion, the visitors stumbled a bit.
Hardik Pandya’s brilliance in second T20I of India against hosts
It looked like that team only waited for Hardik Pandya to open his hands and finish the chase in utmost style. His match-winning knock of 42 of 22 led India home and fetched them a classy T20I series win. Several people across the world came up to pour congratulatory messages for team India but seems like the most special one came from mom-to-be Anushka Sharma.
After India’s brilliant win, Anushka Sharma came with an Instagram story that stated –“Series WIN & brilliant team effort!! Men in blue. Congratulations my love.”

Talking about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, the most adorable celebrity couple is set to have their first baby in the month of January. Virat Kohli will be setting his foot for India after leading the Indian side in the first Test in Adelaide on December-17. He would be missing on three Tests owing to his paternity leave, and it would be a thing to watch that how India will manage without their able skipper. India would also be missing the services of hitman Rohit Sharma in its first two Tests against Australia.
