India thumped Sri Lanka in their final group game by seven wickets without literally breaking a sweat at Headingley. While Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul scored scintillating tons, the captain Virat Kohli stroked a fluent 34 and remained unbeaten much to the delight of his wife Anushka Sharma. The Bollywood actress was present in the stands to cheer the Men in Blue and her husband and has now become a centre stage on social media for a hilarious reason.

In the 31st over of India’s innings, the Indian skipper played a glorious cover drive to get off the mark off Kasun Rajitha. The width was on offer and Kohli reached out to the ball with a big stride forward and like always, it was a perfect placement with the ball going for the four. No wonder Anushka was thrilled and applauded her cricketer husband.

However, while clapping, she asked one of her friends in the stands, “What is the signal for four?” ( going by the lipsync). And then performed the action before laughing her hearts out. Very few things go unnoticed on social media these days and the Twitterati managed to get a glimpse of this incident as well. The video is going viral now and Anushka Sharma is being hilariously trolled.

India to face New Zealand in semis

Meanwhile, South Africa defeated Australia in a humdinger in Manchester which led to India finishing at the top of the points table. The Men in Blue will face New Zealand in the first semi-final now at the Old Trafford on July 9 while the arch-rivals Australia and England will face-off at Edgbaston on July 11.

The league game between India and New Zealand was washed out and it will be interesting to see who ends up on top in the knockout game. On the other hand, Australia had comfortably defeated the hosts at Lord’s only a few days ago and they will be hoping to repeat the heroics again.
