Team India finally got some off time from their hectic schedule after they wrapped up the Nagpur Test in four days. Some of the players opted to have an outing in their free time before the team regroups for the final Test against the Sri Lankan team. Among these players was ace Indian spinner R Ashwin. Ashwin traveled to the Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

He was accompanied by his teammate Vijay Shankar. Both Vijay Shankar and R Ashwin have previously played together the Tamil Nadu team in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic competitions. India’s fielding coach, R Sridhar, was also present with the two cricketers at the Tiger Reserve. The safari seemed to be a very interesting one for the players.

R Ashwin posted several pictures of their morning safari on the social media platform Twitter. He also posted a separate post with just one picture, which he soon turned it into his profile picture.

Here are the tweets:

Venky Mysore comes up with his doubt

In the picture which R Ashwin chose to be his profile picture, he is seen biting an apple. The CEO of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise of the IPL, Venky Mysore, was quick to come up with a question for Ashwin. He asked Ashwin is the food in his hand was a crisp apple or a medu vada.

“Some downtime at Pench seems terrific. Is that a healthy apple or a crisp medu vada?! Haha!,” tweeted Venky Mysore.

Ashwin was quick to respond back to the queries of Venky Mysore. He noted that it was actually an apple but certainly not a crisp one. Well, now the ace Indian spinner will hope to have a crisp outing in the final Test against Sri Lanka.

“Actually a not so crispy (apple),” responded Ashwin.
