After winning the West Indies series, the Aussies look forward to taking on India to begin with their first series of the year. Riding on spectacular performances by the players, the Aussies would be hoping that they continue their great run throughout 2016 as well. Here are the approaching milestones, some of their key Australian players would be eying in coming time. 1. Aaron Finch: (© Getty Images) An aggressive opener for Australia, Finch is considered as a threat by bowlers all over the world for his hard hitting abilities. His phenomenal way of striking the ball has struck vital chords in the Australian batting lineup. Finch would be looking forward to achieve the following feats this year. – 135 runs and he will complete 2000 runs in ODIs. – Finch is just 244 runs short of 1000 runs in T20Is. 2. He has got the natural ability to provide power packed performances and has been proven as a potential match winner for the Kangaroos. After having retired from the longer format, Watson has many milestones approaching this year in the limited overs format. – 243 runs more and he will become the 10th Aussie to cross 6000 runs in ODIs. – Shane Watson is 10 matches short of 200 ODIs. – He is just 10 boundaries short of 100 fours in T20Is. – He has to appear in 1 more match to complete 50 appearances in T20 internationals. 3. He is the No.1 Test batsman in the world as of now. Also the captain of Australia, Steve Smith has already tasted early success and will also be looking to achieve the following personal feats. – Smith is 274 runs short of 2000 ODI runs. – He is 1 boundary short of 400 fours in Tests. 4. David Warner: David Warner. He also has the typical brash attitude and is a phenomenon to reckon with. As he’s about to complete 7 years in international cricket, he may also be looking forward to achieve the following feats. – Warner needs 7 fifties more to complete 50 half-centuries in international cricket. – He is just 7 sixes short of 50 sixes in Test cricket. 5.
