Smriti Mandhana has emerged as one of the most talented players on the international stage. The 23-year-old has elevated the standards of Indian women’s cricket through her batting forte. At such a young age, Mandhana has shattered numerous records. The star batswoman recently became the second-fastest Indian to amass 2000 runs in ODIs.

Mandhana took 51 games to reach the landmark of 2,000 ODI runs, becoming the third-fastest woman after the likes of Belinda Clark and Meg Lanning to achieve the feat. The swashbuckling opener has smashed 2,025 runs in 51 ODIs at an average of 43.08, including four centuries and 17 fifties in her ODI career. Opener Shikhar Dhawan is the only other Indian player apart from Mandhana to hold the record of the fastest Indian to score 2,000 runs in ODIs.

With the passage of time, cricketers have also started engaging with fans on their social media accounts and Smriti has also embraced the trend. Recently, Smriti Mandhana engaged in a Question and Answer session with her fans on Instagram. Before starting the session, Mandhana clarified that her teammate Jemimah Rodrigues has forced her to do this. Mandhana was flooded with questions as soon as she started the session. The swashbuckling opener decided to answer a few among them.
