Pakistan started off their Asia Cup campaign with an 8-wicket victory against Hong Kong set up on the back of a dominating bowling performance. The left-arm pacer Usman Khan took three wickets while Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan chipped in two each to bundle out Hong Kong for just 116. In response, Pakistan lost a couple of wickets and survived some calls but in the end, reached the target in only 23.4 with Imam-ul-Haq scoring an unbeaten fifty.

158 – Pakistan’s win with 158 balls to spare in this game is their 2nd biggest win in terms of balls to spare. They chased down the target of 116 against Bangladesh in 2008 with 182 balls to spare, the biggest win in terms of balls to spare in the history of Asia Cup.
India chased down the target of 97 against Sri Lanka in 1984 in only 21.4 overs while a 131-run chase in 1997 against Bangladesh in only 15 overs. The game was reduced to a 43-overs affair.
