2. Afghanistan

Afghanistan cricket has witnessed a considerable rise over the last decade and has been a feature of all the major ICC tournaments in the last few years, especially under the leadership of their influential former skipper Asghar Afghan.

Veteran Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi leads the side in the shortest format of the game and will continue with his role in the upcoming Asia Cup. The national team has adopted a new dark blue jersey, replacing their iconic sky blue shirts.

Although it’s hard to see Afghanistan getting their hands on the trophy against some quality opponents in the tournament, they could spring out a surprise or two in the competition.
