Asia Cup T20: India v UAE – Statistical Highlights
India stayed unbeaten in the Asia Cup before playing Bangladesh in the finals as they registered their 4th successive win in the tournament after defeating UAE by 9 wickets. With some tight bowling and picking wickets at regular intervals, India restricted UAE to just 81/9 in 20 overs.
Later Rohit Sharma took India off to a flyer with a quickfire innings. Yuvraj Singh, who got a promotion in the order played a little cameo innings to seal a 9-wicket win for his side. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the game.

4 – Number of maiden overs India bowled in UAE’s innings. These are the most by a full member nation in a T20I innings. In overall, only 3 other teams managed to bowl 4 maidens in a T20I innings.
4 – This was Rohit Sharma’s 4th Man of the Match award in T20Is. Among Indians, Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli have 7 Man of the Match awards each in this format.
5 – Maiden overs bowled by Harbhajan Singh in T20Is. Only Nuwan Kulasekara with 6 maidens has bowled more maidens than Harbhajan.
6 – This is India’s 6th consecutive win in T20Is. Between December 2012 and April 2014, India won 7 T20Is which is their best streak.
6 – Number of bowlers India used in the match. Interestingly, all of those went on to pick a wicket. This is only the 2nd instance where 6 different bowlers picked up a wicket for India in a T20I.
8 – Runs conceded by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in his 4 overs. These are the joint fewest by an Indian bowler in T20Is after bowling 4 overs quota. Ravi Ashwin also gave only 8 runs vs Sri Lanka in February 2016 at Vizag, where he also took 4 wickets.
11 – Balls taken by UAE to get off the mark. These are the 2nd most balls taken by a team in T20Is to open their account. Zimbabwe once took 21 balls to open their account against West Indies in 2010 at Port of Spain.
12 – Maiden overs bowled by Harbhajan Singh in Twenty20 format. Among Indians, only Praveen Kumar (17) and Irfan Pathan (13) have bowled more maidens than Harbhajan.
14 – Number of dot balls Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled before conceding a run in this game. These are the most dots bowled by a player in a T20I before conceding a run. Sulieman Benn, Rangana Hearth and Rohan Mustafa bowled 13 dots on 3 different occasions.
17 – Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the 17th player to bowl 2 maiden overs in a T20I. He is only the 3rd Indian after Harbhajan Singh and Jasprit Bumrah to bowl 2 maiden overs in a T20I.
20 – Number of dot balls Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the innings. Only on 1 other instance, an Indian bowled 20 dots in a T20I. Ravindra Jadeja at Vizag vs Sri Lanka in February 2016 bowled 20 dot balls.
21 – Runs conceded by India in the powerplay. These are the joint fewest they have conceded in a T20I game. In 2010, India conceded 21/2 in powerplay against Zimbabwe in a T20I at Harare.

50 – Yuvraj Singh became the 4th Indian after MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma to represent India in 50 T20Is.
59 – Number of balls remaining in Indian innings when they chased down the target. This is the biggest win for India in T20I cricket in terms of balls remaining. Previous biggest was 37 balls vs Sri Lanka at Vizag in February 2016.
69 – Number of sixes hit by Yuvraj Singh in T20I format. He is now 4th in most sixes list in T20Is.
80 – England’s 80/10 at Colombo in 2012 is the lowest score in T20Is against India. UAE’s 81/9 is the 2nd lowest against them.
81 – UAE’s 81/9 is the 2nd lowest total for a team in T20Is who batted out 20 overs without getting all out. Lowest is 79 by West Indies vs Zimbabwe in 2010 at Port of Spain.
