Most Wickets in Asia Cup 2023 (Leading Wicket-Takers List)
The Asia Cup 2023 is right around the corner. The continental tournament is all set to be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka and is set to begin on August 30. The first game will be played between Pakistan and Nepal as the respective teams gear up to take on each other and attempt to get their hands on the coveted title.
Over the years, the batters have more or less dominated the tournament. However, this does not mean that the role of a bowler is of any less importance. There is no doubt that the bowlers from the subcontinent teams have been some of the all-time greats.
Players like Muthiah Muralitharan, Lasith Malinga, and many more have wreaked havoc on almost every batter in world cricket and that threat was evident when they performed in the Asia Cup in familiar conditions. It is also worth noting that the Asia Cup 2023 will be held in a 50-over format due to the ODI World Cup 2023 rapidly approaching as it is scheduled to begin on October 5. Sri Lanka are the defending champions of the Asia Cup as they won the tournament in the T20I format in 2022, and it could be interesting to see which side comes out on top in 2023.
