Australia, Maxwell start the buildup to World Cup 2015 semi finals with mind games: The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 second semi-finals for the world cup will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) between co-hosts Australia and defending champions India. Both the teams have made their way to the big match on back of some strong performances. Australia has won all but one game that they have played, while India has been unbeaten throughout. To mark the beginning of the semi final contest between the two teams Australia’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell started playing mind games with the opponents.

On occasion of an interaction with the media, Maxwell said that Australia will need to play their best cricket in order to beat the confident and in-from Indian cricket team. He said, “India are a very good side, they wouldn’t be here in the semifinals if they weren’t a good side. We have to bring our A game forward when we play them this week.”

But at the same time the big hitter did not leave an opportunity to make India realize that his team has had the better of them all the summer, not only in the longer format but in limited over’s cricket as well. “I think we targeted them pretty well this summer. They haven’t won a game against us all summer and I hope that is pretty clear in their memories, “We have been dominant all summer in the ODI format and hopefully we can continue it.” Said Maxie

When he was asked if the team will chalk out special strategy for the danger man and India’s batting main stray Virat Kohli for the important clash. Glenn Maxwell said, “We haven’t had a team meet yet but it will be pretty similar to the summer, “We did pretty well during the summer against him. I am sure we will go ahead with similar plans and we will have a few tricks up our sleeve.” He concluded saying.
