Team India will be looking at another series win in Australia as they face the visitors in the 3rd and final ODI at the MCG on Friday. The series is currently levelled 1-1 as the Aussies won the first and India bounced back in the 2nd. Heading into the game, the visitors are blessed with the form of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and former skipper MS Dhoni. They would be hoping to get contributions from the other batsmen as was in the 2nd ODI to win the series-decider.

All the key stats and numbers ahead of the series-decider at the Melbourne Cricket Ground:

3-2 – India’s win-loss record at the MCG in ODI format since 2012. India lost all three matches they played against Australia at this venue since 2012 but won on both occasions while facing other teams.

On the other hand, Australia won all their nine ODI matches at the MCG between 2013 and 2017. They lost their last two ODIs here while defending a total.

981 – Rohit Sharma needs 19 more runs to become the first Indian to score 1000 ODI runs against Australia in Australia. Only four other players have aggregated 1000 runs against the Aussies on their soil thus far.


1990 – Ravindra Jadeja needs ten more runs to complete 2000 runs in ODI cricket. He will be the 25th player and only the 3rd Indian in ODI cricket to score 2000 runs and bag 150+ wickets.
