India’s yorker-specialist is still new to Test cricket but has shown some sparks of brilliance already in this format on the national team’s tours of South Africa and England. The young pacer will come in handy on Australian pitches as he not only has pace but can also generate a fair amount of bounce. Plus, the Aussies are yet to see him in Tests and may fail to read him initially, giving him that much-needed edge against this relatively inexperienced Australian side.

In the six Test matches the lanky speedster has played thus far, the Ahmedabad-born cricketer has taken 28 wickets at a phenomenal average of around 25, considering that all the six matches were played outside India – three in South Africa and three in England. He is young, he is hungry, and this may well turn out to be his series with the ball in hand, you never know!
