India’s tour of Australia begins on November 21 at Brisbane with the three-match T20I series which will be followed by four Tests and three ODIs. In the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner, Australia has been handicapped as the team is struggling to find their rhythm and the right team combination. This gives Virat Kohli-led India an edge over the hosts and the tag of favourites to win the series.

Team India has been in phenomenal form recently in the T20I format with series wins against South Africa, Ireland, England, and Windies. Australia, on the other hand, are struggling to win its games at home as well as away. They were whitewashed in the three-match T20I series recently against Pakistan in UAE and lost to Proteas in a lone T20 clash at home.

While the upcoming T20I series is important for both the teams, it is more essential for some individual players who have to perform well in order to stay in their respective teams. Here, in this article, we are going to take a look at the players to watch out for in the upcoming India Australia T20 series.

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell has the reputation of tearing apart any bowling line-up in the world. He is arguably the most destructive batsman in the world capable of changing the course of the game in a span of a few deliveries. However, the 30-year-old has been struggling for form recently due to which he is facing a lot of criticism in limited overs format.

So far in 2018, the all-rounder has scored 462 runs in 16 games that he played at an average of 42 and at a massive strike-rate of 150. He could score just 2 fifties (one against Zimbabwe and one against Pakistan) in his last 12 T20I innings. The T20I series against India is a chance for him to not only justify his spot but also cement his place in the ODI team ahead of the 2019 World Cup.
