The Test series between Australia and India is currently locked at 1-1 after two matches. While the visitors stunned everyone in Adelaide, the under-fire Aussies came back strongly to thump the opposition in Perth by 146 runs. The momentum is with them now going into the Boxing Day Test and the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan also feels the same. He has predicted that the hosts will win the series and the off-spinner Nathan Lyon will prove to be a major difference.
Team India made a blunder in the second Test by not playing a specialist spinner in Ravindra Jadeja. A hyped up green pitch covered their mind and they went with an all-pace attack thereby elongating the tail as well. The fourth pacer Umesh Yadav didn’t contribute as expected and moreover, leaked runs in the second innings when the others were bowling exceptionally well.
Lyon – The Gamechanger
Nathan Lyon has been the man for Australia so far in the series. He has picked 16 wickets so far in the series and become the nemesis of the opposition. It will be interesting to see if he continues to make an impact in the series which Michael Vaughan certainly feels. He has stressed that the off-spinner is in the great form and will continue to pick wickets regardless of the nature of the pitch.
“Final thought as I leave Aussie … Australia will Win the series … Lyon is going to prove to be the difference … #AUSvIND … Anyway back to the cold … See you all down under in early jan @FoxCricket,” his tweet read.

India, on the other hand, will be keen on improving their show and make a comeback in the third Test which is set to commence on December 26. They are struggling with a lot of injuries at the moment and the latest casualty is Prithvi Shaw who was expected to get fit for the third game.
