Australia vs India: Ravi Shastri comes out of the team bus drinking beer

It was a happy atmosphere in the Indian dressing room on Sunday as they won the historic Boxing Day Test by 137 runs against Australia. Despite the rain threatening to wash out the final day, the visitors were confident of wrapping it up and it took only 27 balls for them to do so. Post the victory, the team took a victory lap in order to acknowledge the support from the crowd throughout the Test match.

The Bharat Army which travels with the team on their overseas tours was also delighted with the famous win and welcomed the Indian team to their hotel. Even as the team bus reached the hotel, a bunch of people belonging to the Bharat Army group were dancing in happiness and also gave a rousing welcome to the visiting side after an exceptional show at the MCG.

Shastri comes out first

Even as the team bus stopped in front of the hotel, India’s head coach Ravi Shastri stepped out with a beer bottle in his hands and had a sip while walking past the group of fans. The captain Virat Kohli followed him who was in the great mood after the victory and also tapped his feet for a second while entering the hotel.

The rousing welcome made the Indian team members even happier as they enjoyed all of it and Hardik Pandya even performed Bhangra over the music that was being played.

With a thumping win in the third Test, Team India has retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy and will be looking forward to win the series now. They have never won the Test series Down Under and are finally on the cusp of creating history after promising so much throughout the year. They had their moments on South Africa and England tours but couldn’t capitalise on it but this time they seem to be up for the challenge.
