Australia vs India: Tickets sold out for three T20Is, two ODIs in less than 24 hours

India is all set to take on Australia in three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests starting from November 27. The excitement is already building up for the mega-series with Cricket Australia confirming that tickets for all three T20Is have been sold out. Interestingly, the tickets were put up for sale only on Friday morning.

Tickets have been sold out for the second and third ODI as well with just 1900 seats left for the first ODI at SCG. CA authorities are allowing only 50 per cent capacity for both ODI and T20I series. This will be India’s first-ever assignment since the tour of New Zealand earlier this year.

“The second and third ODIs at the SCG and Manuka Oval respectively have been exhausted while the Manuka Oval T20I and two SCG T20Is are sold out, limited tickets to the first ODI on November 27 at the SCG remain, with approximately 1,900 public seats left. Both the SCG and Manuka Oval will be at 50 per cent capacity for series, with fans voting with their feet after ticket prices were frozen from the last time India came to Australia in 2018/19,” a Cricket Australia media released confirmed.

Australia and India rivalry one of the greatest

CA’s Executive General Manager of Fan Engagement, Anthony Everard, feels thrilled to witness the demand for the tickets and called the rivalry between two international giants one of the greatest. He also added that only a few tickets are remaining for the first ODI at SCG.

“The rivalry between the Australian and Indian men’s cricket teams is one of the greatest in international sport, and this series is shaping up as an epic,” Everard said. “It’s been fantastic to see so much interest in the ODI and T20I Series, with the high demand starting from yesterday with our pre-sale period offered to the Australian Cricket Family. It didn’t take long today for things to move quickly, with now just a couple of thousand tickets remaining for the first ODI on November 27 at the SCG,” he added.

Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, and Manuka Oval, Canberra are the only two grounds that are going to host the limited-overs fixtures between Australia and India on this tour.
