Pakistan batter Azhar Ali scored a 361-ball 185 for the Pakistan side in the 1st Test match against Australia. And, a journalist stated that both Ali and Imam-ul-Haq played very slowly.

The journalist even asked Ali as to why Pakistan could only score a total of 476 in spite of playing over 160 overs in their first innings. And to that, Ali gave a befitting reply. The right-hander responded just one line and stated that the journalist had said enough, and the answer lies in the question asked by the journalist.

“Well done, Azhar Ali. These guys don’t deserve to be answered. There’s a way to ask a question, you can’t insult a player and his colleague like that. PCB should revoke accreditations, it’s about time. These journos won’t learn,” read a tweet from a Twitter handle by the name Farid Khan.

Pakistan declared their first innings with their scorecard reading 476/4

The Pakistan batters piled misery on the Australian bowlers. The Babar Azam-led side posted a total of 476/4 in their first innings, with Ali and Imam-ul-Haq slamming centuries. The left-handed Imam-ul-Haq scored 157 off 358 deliveries and put on a partnership of 208 runs for the 2nd wicket with Ali.

Apart from Ali and Haq, Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam also chipped in with handy knocks of 44 and 36 respectively. For Australia, the likes of Nathan Lyon, Pat Cummins, and Marnus Labuschagne picked up 1 wicket each.

In reply, the Australian side ended Day 2 with their scorecard reading 5/0 after 1 over. Coming back to Azhar Ali, the right-handed batting veteran has represented the Pakistan side in 92 Test matches and has plundered 6906 runs at a superb average of 43.43. Ali has also scored 19 hundreds and 34 fifties in the whites for Pakistan as well.
