Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has recently replied to an eight-year-old fan who wrote to him after the team’s heartbreaking exit from the T20 World Cup 2021. Azam and his men displayed brilliant action throughout the T20 WC campaign but got knocked out of the tournament as Australia stunned them in the semi-final clash.
The eight-year-old fan of Pakistan wrote to Azam and stated that how he wishes to lead the country in the future and that he needs autographs of all the team members of the team. Azam took to his Twitter to reply to the little fan and added that he can achieve anything with ‘focus, belief, and hard work.’ Azam instead asked for the autograph of the little fan by referring to him as the‘ future captain.’
“Dear Mohammad Haroon Suria,
Salam,
Thank you for such a kind letter for us, champion. I ABSOLUTELY believe in you and you can achieve anything with your focus, belief, and hard work. You will get your autographs but I can’t wait to get YOUR autograph future Captain,” Azam’s letter read.

Pakistan went undefeated throughout their league stages and got knocked out of T20 WC in the semi-final game against Australia. They were in dominating position until Matthew Wade launched Shaheen Afridi for three straight sixes in the penultimate over of the game.
What Babar Azam can become is also one of the greatest captains that Pakistan has produced, says Gavaskar
Recently, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also lauded Azam’s show throughout the T20 WC campaign. He added that there is no doubt that he can go on to become an all-time great of the team. He can also become one of the greatest captains Pakistan has ever produced.
“There is no doubt that Babar, if he keeps himself fit and motivated, is going to become one of the all-time greats of the game. What he can become is also one of the greatest captains that Pakistan has produced. His reading of the game situation is brilliant and the changes that he has been making with the bowling and field placing have been unbelievably accurate,” said Gavaskar about Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam.
