Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all-rounder, is one of the best fielders doing the rounds in the cricket world. The southpaw had a message in the coronavirus pandemic situation. Currently, India is in a lockdown until May 3. Earlier, Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared the same until April 14, but bearing in mind the situation, the lockdown had to be extended.
In the meantime, Jadeja’s message was for those, who are trying to break the lockdown rules. Clearly, people have the chance of catching the COVID-19 virus if they get out of their homes. Hence, many celebrities and dignitaries have constantly being asking the citizens to stay indoors. Jadeja used his fielding attributes as a way to deliver the important message.
Ravindra Jadeja throws down the stumps
He posted a video from the match between the Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Lions. Irfan Pathan bowled on around the middle-stump and Jasprit Bumrah guided the leather to the point region. However, Jadeja picked up the ball fast and hurled it at the non-striker’s end. Jadeja is someone, who hardly misses the stumps. Batsmen are generally reluctant to take risks.
After the ball hit the stumps, Jadeja and the Lions’ players erupted in glee and jubilation. The leg-umpire wasn’t quite sure though and went to the third umpire. Replays showed that Bumrah was a country mile out of the crease. Then in the last ball, Jadeja threw the stumps down at the striker’s end to get rid of Lasith Malinga. The match was tied and it went into the Super Over.
Jadeja took to Twitter and wrote, “Bahar bindaas gumthe ho. Mast meh timepass karthe ho, jab aapko ghar pe rahena chahiye. Phir yeh toh hona he th #Staystaysafe #runoutmathona,”

The coronavirus cases in India have nearly reached 30,000 with 937 people losing their lives. Across the world, over three million have been affected with the ungodly virus consuming the lives of 2,11,000. A far as Jadeja is concerned, he was set to take part in the 2020 edition of the IPL, playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). But he has to wait as the IPL has been postponed indefinitely.
