After two consecutive losses, Zimbabwe will be desperate to make a comeback by winning the 3rd T20I of 4-match series against Bangladesh. This will be the last opportunity for Zimbabwe to march ahead for equalizing the series. On the other hand, the hosts Bangladesh will be keen to seal the series here and at the same time will continue experimenting with their lineup as a step towards preparation of upcoming World T20.
Bangladesh:
Under the likes of Sabbir Rahman and Soumya Sarkar, Bangladesh propelled very easily through the 2nd T20I after beating Zimbabwe in the 1st T20I. Also, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim made an effective contribution. Bangladesh now has a stable opening pair and middle order as well. But the hosts will surely want to give an opportunity to Anamul Haque and Nassir Hossain. Meanwhile, bowling department seems rock solid lead by Mustafizur Rahman. Shuvagata Hom is likely to again feature in the squad. Arafat Sunny’s appearance could be no wonder for the fans as well.
Zimbabwe:
The absence of Elton Chigumbura had an impact on the bowling performance of Zimbabwe. None of their bowlers is performing consistently. However, Graeme Cramer pulled up some show in the first match. He will again be expected to perform well. Hamilton Masakadza has played his part in the series with a brilliant 79-run knock in the first match and 30 runs in the second. But, rest of the batting lineup has failed to perform. Sean Williams who has been out of form in this tour will also try to comeback with this match. Eyes will also be on Sikander Raza and Malcolm Waller and their show with the bat. Zimbabwe is likely to go in with the same squad with a possibility of some players who didn’t feature in the series, coming in.
