In recent developments from Bangladesh Cricket, a 24 member squad has left for Chittagong to attend a seven-day conditioning camp, leaving behind all rounder Mosaddek Hossain, who suffers an injury to his eyes. Hard Dust particles seemed to damage his eyes and the Bangladeshi is now advised by the doctor to take a five-day rest.
The camp in Chittagong would host the core squad of Bangladesh along with the reserves. The camp is considered as preparation for the upcoming series against the Australians starting last week of August. Bangladesh Cricket Team hosts Australia for a two match Test series as Dhaka and Chittagong as their venues. Apart from Hossain, the other names to miss out on the camp is Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Miraz who have left for the Carribean Premier League and is scheduled to start today.
“Some hard dust particles hit me during a practice session. Water is falling from eyes due to it,” claimed Mossadek Hussain according to BDCrictime.com. The other name to miss out on the camp at Chittagong is that of Anamul Haque who is currently recuperating from Dengue. Apart from Anamul, Mohammad Saifuddin, Abul Hasan and Mukhtar Ali also miss out on the camp while Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Sanjit Saha and U-19 off-spinner Naeem Hasan have joined the side.
The camp will begin on Saturday (August 5) morning. They will practice till August 7. August 8 will be a holiday for the players. A three-day practice match will be on August 9 to 11. The squad will return next day.
