Bangladesh fans seemed a tad unhappy after the Pakistan national team used their country’s national flag during a training session. During the T20 World Cup 2021, Pakistan coach Saqlain Mushtaq started the practice to motivate the players. The veteran took the step to remind the players about the pride and honour of representing their country.
In the World Cup, Pakistan won five games in the Super 12 before going down to Australia in the semi-final at the Dubai International Stadium. The Men in Green are now set for their tour of Bangladesh that starts on Friday, November 19. Most of the players of the squad landed in Dhaka on Saturday. Only Shoaib Malik and Babar Azam were scheduled to reach on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh fans, in the meantime, have spit venom on social media. They questioned the Pakistan team for taking the step of using the national flag and also asked Bangladesh to halt the series.
Unhappy Bangladesh fans
“Go back Pakistan. Bangladesh should stop the series. Ban any kind of Pakistani flag in Bangladesh,” one user wrote.
“Different countries have come to #Bangladesh innumerable times, many matches have been played by practicing. But neither party needed to practice burying their national flag on the ground. But why did #Pakistan do that…What does it indicate,” another user wrote.

Pakistan started preparation ahead of three-match T20I and two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Pakistan team hoists a national flag there– surely a new scene here. Cannot remember any team doing it here in recent past. Finally some int'l cricket in Mirpur. #BANvPAK pic.twitter.com/922Alf4LeC

Players of Pakistan cricket team practice by hanging flags at Mirpur Stadium. Hanging flags is not an expression of heroism. If there is, there is nothing to say. Let immediate action be taken. I strongly protest..6
