The ongoing fifth season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is all set to telecast throughout the world from Tuesday. The tournament has already commenced on November 4 and has now received the green signal after four matches. The first phase of the league is being played in Sylhet as the franchise Sylhet Sixers is playing its third game. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would be now excited as the efforts of the local players will be watched worldwide which will only help them in the future.
The event is no less than a cricketing festival in the country as the fans are extremely passionate about their cricket. The players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mashrafe Mortaza and many more are the superstars for them. Also, the new concept of allowing 5 overseas players in the playing XI has been introduced by the officials of the tournament to attract the viewership. But the step has hurt the local talent as the franchise concentrated more on picking foreign players in their squad during the auction.
