3. Sabbir-Mushfiqur partnership
After losing Bangladesh’s premier all rounder Shakib al Hasan, the hosts were reeling at 117 with half of the side back in the pavilion. Mushfiqur Rahim was the only batsman who looked comfortable in the conditions. Sabbir Rahman came in a added valuable runs and ensured that there was no further panic in the dressing room.
The two batsman added 105 runs to the total to save the day for Bangladesh. Unfortunately, Sabbir Rahman lost his wicket minutes before the stumps. He scored an elegant 66 at a strike of 58, smashing six glamorous boundaries and a maximum. Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten for watchful innings of 62.
