<p>The Windies southpaw needs no introduction. He has hammered the Australians home and away, and his record speaks for himself. In 82 international matches, Lara has scored 4714 runs at an average of 45.76 with a stylish 277 as his best. Out of 108 innings, Lara was unbeaten on five occasions. Even though Australia had an upper hand against West Indies in the last decade or so, but this man ensured they sweat it out.</p>

<p>Ricky Ponting is at the 6<sup>th</sup> spot. Ponting has amassed big scores all around the world, but his record against India is stupendous. Punter’s 4795 runs against India across all formats speaks volumes about his contribution during the Indo-Aussie games. He holds an average of 47.00 along with 22 fifties and 14 centuries.</p>

<p>The Australian legendary batsman had played some historic knocks wearing the baggy green, but he was particularly lethal against England. Against the old foes, Border has played 90 international matches and scored 4850 runs for Australia. His best against England is a classic unbeaten 200*. He has 30 fifties and 8 hundreds against this rival.</p>

<p>He has been the face of Sri Lankan cricket. Kumar Sangakkara has bailed the team out on a number of occasions. In 89 international matches, “Sanga” has scored 4885 runs against a team which is known for its bowling line up. Against Pakistan, Sangakkara has 12 centuries and 23 fifties to his credit. Clearly he was a vital cog whenever the two neighbours met on the cricketing field.</p>

<p>The legendary cricketer was at his best against Ashes rivals England. In a career spanning from 1928 to 1948, Bradman played 37 games against the three lions, notching up 5028 runs at a sublime average of 89.78. His highest score of 334 also came against the same opponent.</p>
