The El Classico of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK), are facing each other on April 21 (Thursday). Both teams share nine IPL titles combined and clearly, the fans were waiting eagerly for the clash between the two sides. They have struggled this season as well and are languishing at the bottom of the points table with CSK winning only one game and MI still waiting for their first points of the season.

However, the spirit in their camp is high as the captains Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja shared light moments during the toss. Rohit yet again was at his hilarious best cheekily asking his counterpart if he opted to bat first after losing the toss. Toss has played a crucial role in the majority of matches in this IPL season as chasing been the norm with almost every time team’s opting to bowl first.

Interestingly, presenter Nick Knight also didn’t ask Ravindra Jadeja what he was going to do. This is when Rohit hilariously asked if CSK were batting first. “Batting bola na tu?’ – the MI skipper asked the CSK captain as both of them were in splits on the occasion.

Here’s the video:

Changes galore in MI vs CSK game

Both the teams made a combined five changes for this game as MI and CSK both are still finding their best combination this season. The five-time champions included Daniel Sams, Hrithik Shokeen and Riley Meredith in the playing XI while Murugan Ashwin, Fabian Allen and Tymal Mills were dropped. On the other hand, CSK included Mitchell Santner and Dwaine Pretorius replacing Chris Jordan and Moeen Ali respectively.

Meanwhile, CSK got off to a dream start after opting to bowl first. Left-arm seamer Mukesh Choudhary sent back both MI’s openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan for ducks and then also sent back Dewald Brevis in his second over. The delivery he bowled to the latter was exceptional as the ball swung to peg back the off pole of the batter.
