BBL 2018-19: Mark Waugh had a terrible slip of tongue during the Television show
This is not the first time Waugh has done such a mistake on the Live Television.
Former Australia batsman Mark Waugh on Sunday night had an embarrassing slip of tongue on a live television show and the fans were not amused. Mark, brother of Australia’s World Cup-winning captain Steve Waugh, was speaking on Fox Sport’s live coverage of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) in Melbourne and at the receiving end was a woman named Sarah Jones. She was found playing it down with a smile and saying “Alright”.
Mark’s moment of slip came when he was speaking about Brendon McCullum, a former New Zealand captain who is playing for Brisbane Heat in the BBL. After watching an interview of McCullum on the field about horses, Mark referred to the import as a “lucky c**t” before correcting himself quickly.
“He’s a good punter… lucky c**t, lucky punter, too,” the former batsman said after telling an anecdote about McCullum sharing a horse with his wife.
Mark’s words were marked by the social media even though Jones chose to ignore them. Footage of the video went viral online with fans expressing surprise over an ex-cricketer’s choice or words. “Did Mark Waugh really just say that?” they asked. One fan even reacted to a recording of the incident on social media platform Twitter saying there was no need for DRS (Decision Review System) to confirm what Mark said. Mark calls himself a ‘punter’ in his Twitter biography.

Mark had such embarrassing slips earlier also
This is the second time this season that Mark Waugh was seen having an awkward slip of tongue. He called Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman “f**cking” during Australia’s tour of the United Arab Emirates last October. Former Australia pacer Brett Lee, also a member of the commentary team, was seen laughing as Mark said: “Well, as I chose!” after his word used on Zaman. He later lauded the Pakistani player but the damage had been done by then.
