The art of wrist spinning is one of the most complicated jobs in this sport and to excel in it takes quite a lot of hard work. One would have to consent with a fact that Rashid Khan, as it stands, is the best in that department among the current crop of players and considering he’s just 20, it’s terrifying to imagine what he has at the store in the future.
Rashid, who currently is representing the Adelaide Strikers in the ongoing Big Bash tournament, has been doing a remarkable job in the 2018-19 edition. He already has 14 wickets to his name at an outstanding economy rate of 5.62. He played all the 10 games for the defending champions and is expected to play a big part in big games coming up.
In a very sportive exchange of words during the 39th match between the Strikers and Melbourne Stars, Rashid Khan was spotted having a conversation with Stars’ key leg spinner Adam Zampa. It was pretty clear that the Afghan cricketer was offering some tips to the 26-year-old from New South Wales.
Melbourne Stars eventually managed to win the game by a handsome 44-run margin but Adam Zampa bowled just one over. This was one of the rare games this season where Rashid Khan had conceded in excess of 6 runs an over and his poor performance reflected big time on the end result.
Here’s the video of their conversation

Defending champions in a spot of bother
After a pretty aggressive start to their campaign, the Strikers seemed to have lost ground in the last few games. They currently have eight points in 10 games and are sitting 6th on the table. They also have the worst net run rate among all the teams, which will not help their chances of qualifying.
They next travel to Sydney to face the Sydney Sixers, a fixture which pretty much will decide their progress in the tournament. After that, they have a game against the table toppers Hobart Hurricanes, followed by the games against clubs underneath them in the points table, Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers.
