BBL 2021-22: Here is all you need to know about the mega tournament

The 11^th season of the Big Bash League (BBL) is all set to commence from December 5th whereas the final of the tournament will be played on January 28. The reigning champions Sydney Sixers will battle it out against Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the opening fixture of the tournament.

The initial 19 matches of the league will be played before Christmas. It will then be a tight schedule for the players as after Christmas 28 matches will be played including as many as eight doubleheaders. The teams for the summit clash will be decided with a tripleheader on January 19.

Junction Oval, Melbourne will be hosting its first-ever BBL Match. Whereas a total of 14 venues will be used throughout the mega league. A total of 61 games will be played in the tournament which includes league matches as well as knockouts and finals.

Sony Six and Sony Six HD will broadcast all the fixtures of the BBL in India and its subcontinent that are Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives, Burma, and Bhutan.
