Sydney Thunder
Jos Butler who had failed to make an impact in the BBL so far finally gave viewers a glimpse of his talent by smashing an entertaining 67 off 41 balls against the Hurricanes setting the stage for the bowlers to defend. He will be expected to continue his fine form with the willow with the likes of Callum Ferguson and captain Shane Watson enjoying a fine run of form themselves. Mitchell McClenaghan has been the standout pace bowler for the Thunder with his extreme pace and variations while spinner Arjun Nair has displayed immense maturity when handed the responsibility of bowling in the middle overs.
Predicted XI: Shane Watson (c), Ben Rohrer, Callum Ferguson, Ryan Gibson, Jos Buttler (wk), Chris Green, Arjun Nair, Fawad Ahmed, Mitchell McClenaghan, Gurinder Sandhu, Kurtis Patterson
Hobart Hurricanes
The Hobart Hurricanes have made a very shrewd decision by acquiring the services of Sussex based fast bower Jofra Archer who has been extremely impressive in the BBL so far with his gameplay. Captain Bailey will be eager to witness another fine performance by the young man and will also expect his batsmen to deliver some quality performances which they have failed to deliver so far in spite of enjoying the presence of talented youngsters like Ben McDermott and D’Arcy Short.
Predicted XI: George Bailey (c), D’Arcy Short, Alex Doolan, Ben McDermott, Matthew Wade, Daniel Christian, Jofra Archer, Tom Rogers, Cameron Boyce, Clive Rose, Tymal Mills
We believe that the Sydney Thunder will emerge victorious against the Hobart Hurricanes.
