Melbourne Renegades
Renegades are a much more balanced team in comparison to the Sixers. While they have got some of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball in Aaron Finch, Cameron White and Brad Hogg, they are equally equipped in the bowling department too as they have got the got the pace of Kane Richardson and the chinaman spin of Brad Hogg who at the age of 46 is still going strong and giving the ball a lot of revs.
The overseas all-rounders Dwayne Bravo and Mohammad Nabi are capable of making a difference with both bat and ball. Renegades seem to have covered all their bases and are a tough nut to crack for any opposition.
Predicted XI: Marcus Harris, Aaron Finch (C), Cameron White, Tom Cooper, Brad Hodge, Dwayne Bravo, Jack Wildermuth, Mohammad Nabi, Tim Luderman (WK), Kane Richardson, Brad Hogg
Sydney Sixers
Sydney Sixers don’t pack a punch with their batting. While there are good batsmen in their line-up, there is nobody who can take the game away from the opposition in a jiffy. Colin Munro can do that job for them, but he is currently away on national duty and will not be playing this game. Bowling wise too, the Sixers don’t have a lot of mystery about them, neither do they have a wrist spinning option. They rely on orthodox spin of Johan Botha and Steve O’Keefe and that combination hasn’t quite worked so far.
Predicted XI: Jason Roy, Peter Nevill (WK), Nic Maddinson, Jordan Silk, Sam Billings, Ben Dwarshuis, Johan Botha (C), Sean Abbott, Steve O’Keefe, Daniel Sams, William Somerville
We believe that the Melbourne Renegades will emerge victorious against the Sydney Sixers.
