BCCI has taken it to notice that some of the players are having to face injury scares keeping the upcoming World Cup in mind, they have come up with a huge announcement and guidelines on Monday. They have released a list of 7 Indian players who could be injury prone and have been advised to not take risks with the World Cup just around the corner.

All the seven Indian players should be released by the respective franchises after the game between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab on April 10th. After the deadline date, the cricketers are not supposed to take part in any cricketing affairs and rather spend the time chilling and hanging out with their family and friends as well as their pets back home since that will not be possible during the World Cup.

The seven players who will be backing out leaving a huge void in their respective franchises are – Virat Kohli (Bangalore), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Hyderabad), Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya (Mumbai), Kuldeep Yadav (Kolkata), Mohammed Shami (Punjab) and MS Dhoni (Chennai). It has been reported that the RCB franchise is rather happy since they will get to field a new skipper once Kohli is called back without needing to sack him.

Insiders also suggested that keeping in mind the election sentiment, Gujarat’s Parthiv Patel who hails from the same land as Indian PM, will be appointed the captain. They said Gujarat has proven winning record and leadership, it will ensure that they do win the tournament finally.

World Cup top priority at this moment: BCCI

The BCCI (Board of Controversy for Cricket in India) President Rahul pointed out that the decision was taken solely keeping the World Cup mind, which is the top priority for the country. He also issued an apology to the six franchises who will be affected by this decision. Apart from Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, all the other franchises will be dented with this move. He also mentioned that this will allow the players to go out and vote to fall in line with PM Narendra Modi’s request.

“We have been monitoring some players over the last few weeks and after a TV debate on Republic, the BCCI has decided to deny permission to seven players to continue in the IPL post-April 10th. The decision has not been taken solely keeping the World Cup in mind, but just because it was in line with the public sentiment. We don’t really care about the franchises who will be affected by this decision,” said Rahul.

“Virat Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami and MS Dhoni are expected to learn new party tricks under the supervision of the Indian coach Ravi Shastri in Dubai,” Rahul who is not a BCCI representative added.
