BCCI books chartered flight for team India's travel to Australia

The cricket world has marked its resumption after the COVID-19 induced halt, and series are lined up one after the other for the teams. After the successful completion of IPL 2020 in UAE, team India is all set to travel to Australia for a series across all three formats. The tourists will stay in Sydney for almost a month from November 12. As per the latest reports, all sorts of formalities are clear, and the team is set to fly to Sydney.

The Men in Blue are expected to fly down under via a chartered flight either on the 11th or 12th of the next month. It has been stated that the entire selected squad for all the formats of the game, along with support staff, would travel in one shift. To smoothen the further process, the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) has already asked coach Ravi Shastri along with the whole support staff to touch Dubai before the end of October.

The players who are set to fly Australia and are not part of the cash-rich league will also have to land in Dubai before Sunday. After completing their mandatory quarantine, they can kick off their training sessions before the departure of the team from Dubai post the IPL finale. India will land in Sydney either on the 11th or 12th November and then, they will move into 12 days quarantine straight. During their quarantine process, the players will be allowed to train at SCG.

India yet to have apparel sponsor for tour of Australia

As per the reports in InsideSport, all six games of ODIs and T20Is would be played in either Sydney and Canberra. The capital city of Australia takes around 3 hours to travel from Sydney. To talk in line with reports presented by Australian media, the white-ball series would take place during November 26-December 8. Adelaide (17 December), MCG (December 26), SCG (January 7), and Gabba (15 January) have been finalized as four Test venues.

In the meanwhile, it is also coming to notice that India hasn’t received any apparel sponsor after Nike’s contract ended last month. It seems that Virat Kohli and his men will be flying to the foreign land without any sponsor for their playing outfit. However, BCCI is trying its best to make the necessary arrangements.
