BCCI dedicates a special video to MS Dhoni on his birthday

MS Dhoni has changed the dynamics of the Indian cricket ever since he donned the blue jersey. After making his international debut way back in 2004, he is still going strong and enjoying the game he loves the most. Today he is celebrating his 37th birthday and no wonder all the love is being showered on him on his special day. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also joined in the long list and has dedicated a special video for the legend which also includes wishes from his teammates and adorable daughter Ziva Dhoni.

Team India is currently in England locking horns with them in the three-match T20 International series. Dhoni also played his landmark 500th international game on Friday which India lost, unfortunately. But his own performance was a decent one as he once again finished the innings for his country strongly eking out 22 runs in the final overs.

The environment in the dressing room is always friendly and when it is the birthday of MS Dhoni expect for the resounding celebrations for his teammates. He is special for everyone in the team including the skipper Virat Kohli as he owes his career to him. The same has been depicted in the video by the whole squad as they wished their ‘Mahi bhai’ a very happy birthday.

The video starts with some wonderful images of the birthday boy over the years and then comes none other than Kohli to wish the person he has always admired throughout his career so far.

“Mahi bhai, a very happy birthday to you. You at that age are as fit as ever and as fast as ever. It’s great to see you happy and smiling and enjoying yourself. I wish you all the best and it’s an honour to be playing with you still and to have started under you. You know the respect that we share and my best wishes and all the positive energy towards you. Cheers,” he said.

KL Rahul also wished the seniormost member in the side and touted himself as a lucky cricketer to have received the debut cap of all the three formats from Dhoni. He has been the lifeline to the wrist-spinners and Kuldeep Yadav acknowledged the same with all the other members of the squad also wishing the most loved cricketer in India.

The video ends with a sweet and cutest wish from his daughter Ziva Dhoni who has especially attached to her father as she reminded him that he is growing older now.
