Fans compared the actions of Kohli with sacred games' "Aham Brahmasmi" posture.
India is currently playing their first Test match of the home season against South Africa. It looks like everything is going in favor of the hots. During the toss, India won an important toss and elected to bat, after that there was quite a tension among the fans over the performance of the openers. In past India have tried quite a few players for this position like Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, and Murali Vijay but no experiment paid off, and this time selectors had opted out for Rohit Sharma for the first time in Test for this slot in the Team.
The first hour of the match was crucial for hosts, but when the openers started settling down on the pitch with their willow, the atmosphere of the dressing room started changing. Indian batsmen jointly posted a score of 202 without any loss. Rohit Sharma got his maiden century as an opener in Tests whereas young Mayank Agarwal had got 84 runs and was supporting his senior partner very decently before the game of the day called off due to rain.
Virat Kohli, Umesh Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav caught in the eyes of the camera
