The shortest format of the game is never short of entertainment. While the contest between the bat and ball remains to be at the top of all the action, the inputs that the players come up with is always interesting to watch. Among these inputs is the new kind of celebrations that the fans get to see. During the ongoing edition of the KPL, Zahoor Faroqui came up with one such weird celebration.
Over the last few years, the cricket fans have seen it all when it comes to the celebrations. They have seen Darren Sammy come up with his baby celebration, the Windies team showed the Gangnam style celebrations in 2012 World T20, Tabraiz Shamsi has been devising new celebrations like his truck driver celebration and the shoe phone celebration.
Now, Zahoor Faroqui has joined this list of unique celebrations on the field. The Bellary Tuskers bowler came up with his ‘caterpillar celebration’ during the KPL 2017 encounter against the Bijapur Bulls. Soon after he picked up a wicket during the course of the game, he was seen lying down on the ground. He soon started moving his back in a caterpillar-like motion.
His teammates came running to him and they were all smiles. Needless to concede, it was all a fun celebration that the bowler came up with and the team enjoyed it. Faroqui went on to scalp 2/41 in the match. Talking about the game, the Bellary Tuskers posted a decent total of 172/6 on the board after batting first.
They were led by a 35-ball 50 from wicketkeeper-batsman CM Gautam. The Bijapur Bulls, in their response, managed to overhaul the target with 3 balls to spare and 4 wickets in hand. Skipper Bharath Chipli top scored with 63 off 35 balls.
