English all-rounder Ben Stokes is one of the most popular faces in the modern day cricket. He is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Despite the injury keeping him out of action from the ongoing Headingley Test, Stokes managed to get some share of headlines in the game. The all-rounder was spotted at the venue during the first day’s play when England were batting in the game.

The English team managed to dictate terms on the first day of the Test. Coming in to the game, the hosts were under some serious pressure having lost the first Test by 9 wickets. They showed a brilliant comeback in the second game by restricting the Pakistani team to just 174 in the first innings. The total could have been lower had Shadab Khan not hit a valuable fifty.

Later on the day, when England came in to bat, Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings showed great skills at the crease. The English openers added 53 runs for the first wicket. When Alastair Cook was batting, it was the time when the crowds got their first look of Ben Stokes. Stokes was seen lingering around the sight screen creating some disruptions for the batsman, Cook.

The official social media handle of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) saw the light hearted side of it and remarked that out of all the people, it was Stokes to disrupted the play. Stokes was seen smiling in the video that ECB shared. Even he realised that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Talking about Ben Stokes, the all-rounder sustained a hamstring tear during a practice session in the lead up to the second Test. He is expected to be out of action for at least a couple of weeks, if not more. He is expected to undergo some more scans in the coming days to assess the injury.
