Now teams have realised that they need to have quality bowlers in their squad to win the title.

In recent years, the IPL has become heavily in favor of batters. Flat pitches, shorter boundaries, and power-hitting techniques have made it an unforgiving tournament for bowlers. With the latest addition of the Impact Player Rule as well, the bowlers have to be constantly on their toes to give their teams crucial breakthroughs. Despite this, some bowlers have delivered match-winning spells even on tracks that offer little help.
While the IPL is known for high-scoring games, there have been moments when a single spell has turned the game. A well-executed yorker, a slower ball, or a perfectly delivered bouncer has often put the most explosive batters on the back foot. Over the years, there have been instances where bowlers have not just controlled the opposition but dismantled them completely. Some have also gone on to take five or six wickets in a T20 game is an extraordinary feat. Even in a time where 200-plus totals have become common, these bowlers have to find new ways to pick wickets.
Often, coaches and players are heard saying a phrase that 'Batters win you games’, while it's the Bowlers who do the tough work and make you win the tournaments. Even with the IPL reaching its 18th edition, batters will shatter numerous records, but it's the bowlers who will go on to be remembered for their exceptional spells during tough times.
