The ninth edition of the T20 World Cup got underway on June 1 and the final was played on June 29. The tournament is being co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA. This is the first time the USA is hosting matches in a cricket World Cup. Also, for the first time, as many as 20 teams are participating.
Associate nations like USA, Canada, and Uganda are the three teams making their debut in the T20 World Cup. After the last edition in 2022 turned out to be a grand success, where England emerged as the T20 World Cup Winners, the ICC has left no stone unturned in making the ongoing edition the biggest of its kind.
While T20 cricket is termed by many as a batter's game, the pitches in the West Indies and the USA are expected to aid the bowlers. Fans who love high-scoring matches will be eagerly waiting to see who scores T20 World Cup Most Runs. Over the years in T20 World Cups, cricket enthusiasts have witnessed several bowlers make a mark with their unique skill sets. It will be interesting to see the bowlers who come out shining from the showpiece event this year.
