It happened during a match between Chennai and<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2021-csk-to-continue-preparations-in-mumbai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Mumbai.</a> The hosts were defending a total of 170 and had started really well with Chennai finding themselves struggling at 33 for 2.
Jason Behrendorff bowled a short pitch delivery on the off-stump with Suresh Raina absolutely smashing it to the deep point boundary. Kieron Pollard was positioned inside the boundary by a few meters and was not right on the edge. As the ball came towards him, the West Indian didn&#8217;t move behind, keeping his feet on the ground until the ball came really close.
He timed his jump properly and plucked the ball from the air. While he was falling on the ground, he cartwheeled towards the fence and still kept himself within inches of touching it. The catch not only won the award for the catch of the match but also ended being named as the best catch of the season.

Unlike his international career, David Hussey, brother of Michael Hussey, had several wonderful moments in the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/bcb-upholds-shakib-al-hasans-noc-for-ipl-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IPL. </a>One of them happened with him taking a stunning catch to dismiss Paul Collingwood. Delhi was playing Kolkata in a crucial match at the Feroz Shah Kotla (now Arun Jaitley Stadium). The incident happened in the last over of Delhi’s innings. 
Charl Langeveldt bowled a low full toss which Collingwood hit down the ground aiming for six towards the short straight boundary. Hussey placed himself on the edge of the long-on boundary. As the ball was travelling over the boundary, the Australian somehow managed to get both his hands on the ball in an attempt to take the catch. 
However, it hit his hand and was going over the fence. Hussey used his smart thinking and tried to get the ball back inside the boundary and successfully managed it. However, the momentum took him over the fence. He went there and came back inside the rope, only to catch the ball magnificently with his right-hand. He also received an award for the best catch of the season with this one.
